On Tuesday 13th June P6 headed off to Gruig Windfarm. We had a great morning learning more about how renewable energy is generated using wind. We got special access to the wind farm and saw inside the generation plant and even were allowed into a wind turbine. The children loved hearing all the technical details from the engineers who had especially shut down turbines and came in all their safety gear to help us understand more about their jobs. It is wonderful to learn from practical experiences.
