We have been working hard in Primary 3!
On Monday Primary 3 took part in an online Art lesson for Children’s Mental Health Week. Sinead McDermott (from the Art and Design Factory) led our class along with 172 other classes, to create our own landscape master piece in the theme of the artist David Hockney. We really enjoyed creating our beautiful art work.
We also had a visit from Allan from Wee Critters. We got to meet a hissing cockroach, a tarantula called Charlotte, a snake, a toad, an owl called Pepper and a skunk. Lots of the Primary 3s were brave and got very close to these animals. Allan told us all about which animal groups these creatures belonged to. We really liked his visit to our class.
Our topic this term is Amazing Animals and we enjoyed making our own elephants out of milk cartons and tissue paper! It was very messy!
We have been looking at Instructional Writing in Literacy and even created our own kites.
In our After School Club we had fun baking and using Dot and Dash.
