In our last term in P3/2 our topic has been ‘Pirates’. We have been very creative making pirates and pirate ships. We have also been using the iPads to explore animation. In Numeracy we have been telling the time and working with money. In Literacy we researched information in groups and planned and wrote our own information books about animals.
We have had an exciting start to the new term in P3/2. Our new topic is food. We have been looking at foods from different countries. We got to taste foods from different countries, like Swiss chocolate, croissants, waffles and potato bread. The Belgium waffles were a big favourite!
We also had a visit from Barry, who taught us all about composting. He showed us what we can put into our brown bins and what compost can be used for. It was very interesting.
We have been busy in Primary 3/2. In Numeracy we have been looking at our Number Bonds and telling the time. We have been enjoying looking at our Amazing Animals and sorting them in to groups- mammals, reptiles, fish, insects amphibians and birds. We also made a Big Book on our Amazing Animals.
The new school year is here and P3/2 have all settled really well into their bright new classroom! We have been enjoying our new topic of ‘Amazing Animals’. We love playing mental maths games and having counting fun. We have been practising writing lots of words and spellings too.
