P6/5M Art

Aboriginal Art

In P6/5M we have started a new Topic all about ‘Australia.’ So far, we have enjoyed sharing what we already know about the country and discussing the connections that some of the pupils have with Australia. Some of the students have got relatives that live there and hope to be able to visit some day. Eleni brought in  a beautiful boomerang from Australia to share with us, which was decorated using traditional Aboriginal Art. Then the pupils all designed and painted their own Aboriginal Paintings. We used cotton buds to make these dot style paintings, after researching various designs from other artists online. We are very pleased with what we have produced and wanted to share them with you! We are looking forward to learning more about Australia and finding out the similarities and differences between their country and ours!
