Former pupil Leroy Millar visits Buick with Irish League Cup
In school we were privileged to have former pupil Leroy Millar visit. Leroy shared his experiences with the children about his recent success as a winner of the Irish League Cup with Ballymena United. It has been 10 years since Leroy has left the school but his previous teachers were very pleased to see and to hear about how well he has been doing.
Leroy plays in midfield or in the left back position and he was very willing to share his experiences of making it to the final and how that felt. He gave our footballers some very sound advise and told them to go into both the 7 a side and Senior Cup Final and to enjoy the occasion and just to relax.
The Ballymena United Vice Chairman, Don Stirling, attended and shared his experiences as a supporter and how great it was that Ballymena United have won this trophy for the first time in their history.
Leroy presented the girls from the 5 a side Futsul tournament with their bronze medals for finishing third at last weeks tournament.
Thanks to Miss Orr for organising this and getting Leroy to share his experiences with us! We would also like to thanks Ballymena United and Leroy for taking the time to share and celebrate their amazing success.
We wish Leroy and the Ballymena United continued success this season as they chase a 3rd place finish and we hope that this will not be the last we see or hear of Leroy winning football silverware.
