P6QC
Hello! Welcome to Primary 6QC class page.
Our teachers this year are Mrs McQuiston and Mrs Cumberland.
Primary Six are working really hard. Every day we do our spellings and practise our tables. We have been making tables number posters. As a class we are reading James and the Giant Peach. We are really enjoying the amazing characters, brilliant story lines and fantastic language. We are reading other Roald Dahl novels in our groups. We are writing very exciting detective stories.
There is nothing like Numeracy in P6QC. We are learning lots of strategies to help with mental maths problems. In number we have been learning all about rounding. We will be multiplying and dividing next. We have been investigating 3D shapes building brilliant models with pasta and play dough.
We have been learning about Victorians in our village. We have visited Cuningham Church and the Rev Mullholland told us all about the Victorians who built and worshipped in the church. Miss Orr has been working with us to produce artwork based on Victorian buildings. Thank you to Miss Orr for her artist advice and help. We really look forward to her visits. We are really enjoying music this term with Mr Brown. We are learning about rhythm in a really fun way.
We aspire to improve and learn more each day. Congratulations to all those children who have had their work on the Celebrity Spotlight.
You can do it if you P6QC it!
