The new school year is well under way and P3/2 HK have been exploring our topic of Amazing Animals. We have sorted animals into groups- mammals, reptiles, fish, birds, insects and amphibians. We made posters to display in our classroom.

In Literacy we are looking at recount writing and are focusing on remembering capital letters and full stops in our writing. We have also enjoyed some instructional writing, making bird feeders and buzzing bees!

We are working hard at learning our spellings. We like using chalk, paint and magnetic letters to help us remember them.

In Numeracy we are counting, ordering and using Numicon and Cuisenaire Rods to explore our number bonds and addition facts.

We also have enjoyed P.E. sessions, music lessons with Mr Brown and creating various animal and Autumn pictures and crafts in Art.

During Kindness week we talked about things we can do to be kind to each other and our friends and family.
