As a school, we have been focussing on fostering a positive attitude, and there has been no better example this week regarding the school’s football team’s temperament. After a difficult start, the boys rallied and managed to put a string of winning performances together to finish runner up in the group, therefore qualifying for the Semi Final. A tight game against Gracehill Primary led to a 1-1 finish at full time.

Unfortunately, an extra time “Golden Goal” saw Gracehill into the final. Our team played with adept skill and showed themselves to be a team with grit and determination. 

They are also a team that displays outstanding sportsmanship, on and off the pitch. During one game, the senior players led the team over to a player who received an injury during the game to check he was Ok and tell him he had a great game.  What a team of real class!

Well done boys! You have set a high standard. Your sportsmanship and technical football was also noticed by other schools.
