P2 visit Dogs Trust

On Thursday 15th March P2G/C visited Pets At  Home and the Dogs Trust.  We had a wonderful time learning about how to look after different kinds of animals.  We saw many different kinds of pets- from a little dwarf hamster to a beautiful dog called a Weimaraner.

Pic 1- Mr Fleck loaded up the van with lots of blankets and treats for the dogs. A big thank you to all those who donated.

Pic 2- We were given a very interesting talk from a vet at pets at home, she showed us where the animals are x-rayed and we were able to see the x-rays on a computer.

Pic 3- We enjoyed looking at bugs under the microscope.  These children are looking at a parasite that lives on a lizard.

Pic 4- Our class eagerly anticipating our visit to the Dogs Trust.

Pic 5- At the moment there are 50 dogs being housed at the Dogs Trust- 30 of these are puppies.  Look at these cute black and white puppies!

Pic 6- We enjoyed looking at all the dogs.  It was hard to say good-bye!

Pic 7- At the very end we were able to meet and pet a dog. She belongs to one of the ladies who work at the Dogs Trust.
