Thank you to everyone who made the effort to take part in our first ‘Walking Week’.

This was a great success and out of 270 pupils, 178 took part. We took a photo in our second special assembly, led by our Eco Committee, to show the amazing commitment. Within those 178, there were 91 children who walked every single day.

In total our pupils made 713 active journeys last week!

Miss McLaughlin’s P5 class received a reflective snap-band each as they were the class which walked the most. Mr Beattie’s P7 class were runner-up and got a flashing reflector tag each.

Embedding our active travel values in school life is very important to our Eco Committee and they are delighted with the support shown for this new initiative.
