Girls’ football team excel at first football tournament

Well done to both Buick football teams. The girls put up a fantastic effort and really enjoyed the opportunity to play other schools from the local area. This is the first time an event like this has happened in Ballymena and all teams have made a bit of history for the local area. So with that in mind, well done to all teams that took part!

The girls were very enthusiastic and gave their best in each game. Thanks to the girls’ supporters for their encouragement. The girls really appreciated it.

We also had the pleasure of having both Alfie Wylie (NI Women’s Coach) and Julie Nelson (NI Women’s most capped player with 98 caps) visit and encourage the girls. We would like to thank them for coming to visit and to wish them all the best in their next two games against Norway and the current European Champions Holland.

Also, a big thank you to Cullybackey College for laying out the pitch and providing refs and line refs for each match.
