Welcome to P3M!

We have settled really well into P3 and we have all been working really hard.

We love Numeracy and all the different topics we cover. We have been exploring number bonds using Numicon and Cuisenaire. We are now able to identify and name 2D shapes. We have really enjoyed learning all about time. We are able to draw hands correctly and are able to recognise and write the time in digital format.

In Literacy we have been working really hard on our Phonics, and learning lots of new grammar rules, which we are implementing in our daily writing.

Our topic this term is Shopping and The Post Office. Lennie the letter has helped us to understand and visualise the journey our letters and parcels take.

Happy Christmas from P3M

Elf/Pudding Of The Day

Everyday someone in P3 is chosen as the pupil of the day and gets a special treat from the Advent calendar. The rest of the class then decides if they will be a pudding or an elf the next day.

Christmas Decorations

Elf Challenge

On Wednesday Sparkles set us all the challenge of taking an elfie with him in the Christmas tree!

On Tuesday our special elf Sparkles had been very naughty. We came into our classroom to find out he had sneaked into the photocopier and taken some pictures of him posing!

He set us the challenge of creating our own black and white Christmas picture. We used black paper and chalk and the results were amazing!

Christmas Jumper Day

Don’t we all look festive!

Letters to Santa

This week P3M have been getting into the Christmas spirit. They have written fantastic letters to Santa. Along with listing a few presents they would like, they also explained why they believe they are on the nice list this year. Linking to their topic of ‘The Post Office’, P3 had a focus on addresses. They were able to address their envelope to Santa and discussed the importance of the Postcode.

On Friday morning P3 wrapped up warm and went for a lovely walk to the postbox at the Spar, where they posted their letter to Santa.

Odd Socks Day

On Monday 16th November we wore Odd Socks to school to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week. We all looked amazing and think they looked great with our uniform! We also designed our own socks which allowed us to show our interests and personalities.

School Council Representative

Layla was elected as our Class Councillor. Layla has some great ideas to take to the school council meetings.

Check us out starring in the KS1 video!
