We have had so much fun this week in P4/3S in the run up to Christmas! We have written Christmas prayers, solved Christmas puzzles, decorated gingerbread and had a party. We have been making lots of crafts too – clay decorations, trees, snow globes, wrapping paper and cards for our family and friends. We also had a visit from a certain someone with a red coat and a big white beard…..
Merry Christmas Everyone from P4/3S!!!!
So far this year in P4/3S we have been exploring the topic of ‘Amazing Animals’. We have been having fun during ‘Activity Time’ in our Vet role play corner, creating animal crafts, writing poems and riddles about animals and many more exciting challenges. P4 have used books and the internet to research a variety of animal topics during their ‘Project Time’ and have found out lots of facts. We have also had a go at sorting animals into different groups: mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, amphibians and insects. In Literacy we have compared Fiction – ‘The Three Little Pigs’ – and Non Fiction texts. We are learning about their features, improving our comprehension skills and taking part in some drama activities. Alongside our number work we have been using our thinking skills to take part in challenges. We have really enjoyed getting to know each other so far this year and are excited for all that we have to look forward to!
